Access onto the river is controlled by way of servitudes over riverfront properties. Owners may purchase shares (boat permit) in Goose Bay Canyon Share Block Ltd and become a member of  Goose Bay Canyon Recreation & Power Boat Club. All new members pay a once off entrance fee and yearly subscriptions to maintain the river and club facilities such as slipway, jetties, swimming pool, ablution and lawned picnic area. Boat garages and boat house units inside the club become available from time to time.
